 A FEW ADDITIONAL NOTES

We have been sending fertile hatching eggs around Australia for many years and continually improve our systems each season based on customer feedback.  Before you order posted eggs, please read our postage details,  terms and limitations (below) so you are aware of the risks and benefits of receiving eggs in the post. By placing your order with us, you accept these terms.

POSTAGE  All eggs are sent via Express Post. Every parcel is clearly labelled with the contents described and marked as fragile.

Eggs are posted on Monday and Tuesday mornings only.

We post Australia-wide, including Tasmania.

If you live in a remote area, please check with your local postal outlet or online for expected delivery timeframes.

Our postcode is 3804. We post from metro.

Although all eggs are sent via Express Post from a designated overnight office, delivery is not always guaranteed overnight.  Please also be aware there may occasionally be delays due to weather events, fires, floods, storms, COVID impacts or other postal disruptions.

Once parcels leave our care, we have no control over the route or delivery timeframe.

We strongly recommend downloading the Australia Post App or monitoring your parcel online using the tracking number provided.

Tracking information will be sent either:

* via text message link to your mobile phone, or

* through your online order confirmation email, depending on how your order was placed.

If you have concerns regarding your parcel once posted, please contact Australia Post directly as soon as possible.

────────────────────

COLLECTION  Eggs are collected twice daily and stored carefully at room temperature. All eggs are turned daily.  Our collection window between collection and postage is only a few days, with all posted eggs collected on Saturday and Sunday.

────────────────────

PACKING  We pack every egg with the utmost care — exactly how we would hope to receive eggs ourselves.  We believe our packing methods provide the best possible chance of eggs arriving safely and in excellent condition.  We use NEW genuine EGGSPRESS Safe Foam packaging. Each egg is individually secured within the foam packaging, with additional bubble wrap added for extra protection.  Every Eggspress carton is then placed into its own individual cardboard mailing box. Where multiple dozens are ordered, the boxes are securely taped together while still remaining individually boxed internally.

────────────────────

INCUBATION  Once your eggs arrive, carefully unpack them and take your time, as there are several protective layers.  If you wish to rest your eggs prior to incubation, (we prefer not to), allow them to sit upright in an egg carton at room temperature.  Before setting your eggs, ensure your incubator is operating correctly according to the manufacturer’s recommendations. It is a good idea to test the incubator thoroughly beforehand, including opening and closing the lid several times to ensure the temperature returns correctly.  If you no longer have your incubator instructions, most manufacturers provide them online. Every incubator performs slightly differently, and having it calibrated correctly from the beginning will greatly improve your chances of success.  Please note that incubator quality and performance vary considerably. In general, higher quality incubators tend to produce more reliable hatch results than lower-priced models.

────────────────────

OTHER INFORMATION  If you receive an egg with a tiny crack, you may be able to repair it using candle wax. While this does not always work, it can sometimes save the egg and may be worth trying.  The protective bloom on the egg is extremely important, which is why we do not wash our eggs. As a result, you may occasionally notice a small amount of natural dirt or marking on the shell — this is completely normal and helps preserve the bloom.

────────────────────

LIMITATIONS & TERMS  Our goal is always to provide the best possible quality eggs and the best possible chance of a successful hatch. We take enormous pride in the care, handling and fertility management of our breeding pens.  However, due to the many variables involved with posted fertile eggs — particularly postal handling, temperature fluctuations, transport vibration, incubation setup and user experience — we are unable to offer guarantees, refunds or replacements.  In rare cases, eggs may arrive heavily damaged, although thankfully this is extremely uncommon. On the other hand, some customers achieve outstanding hatch rates. Realistically, most results fall somewhere in between.  Please understand that postage can internally damage eggs without visible shell damage, sometimes preventing development entirely.  Eggs that show no development are not necessarily infertile. We routinely test hatch eggs from every breeding pen through regular weekly hatching to ensure optimum fertility standards are maintained.

────────────────────

WESTERN AUSTRALIA CUSTOMERS  Customers located in Western Australia may incur a quarantine inspection fee when receiving eggs from Victoria.  This fee is determined entirely by WA quarantine authorities and is outside of our control. Western Australia is currently the only Australian state where this may apply.

────────────────────

IMPORTANT  By purchasing posted fertile eggs from us, you acknowledge and accept the risks, conditions and limitations associated with posted hatching eggs.  We do not wish to discourage anyone from purchasing fertile eggs via post, however we do believe it is important that all buyers fully understand the process and potential risks involved.  We take exceptional care with every order but cannot guarantee hatchability due to the many factors outside our control.  We do not offer refunds, replacements or compensation for posted eggs under any circumstances.  Please do not order posted fertile eggs if you are unfamiliar with the incubation process or uncomfortable with the inherent risks involved in shipping hatching eggs.  We also ask that all communication remains respectful at all times. We have made every effort to provide clear, honest and transparent information prior to purchase.

We are incredibly excited about the upcoming season and the beautiful breeding teams we have ready for you.  So pop June 1st in your planner and get your order ready to send!
