POSTAGE
All eggs are sent via express post.
All parcels are clearly labeled with the contents described and fragile tape added.
All eggs are posted on Monday and Tuesday morning.
We post Australia wide, including Tasmania.
If you live in a remote area, check with your postage outlet or online for an expected arrival time of your eggs, even though we only send eggs via express post, and we send them from a designated overnight office, sometimes its not always overnight.
There may also be delays due to COVID, fire, floods, storms or other things.
We have no control over the time they take or the route they take.
We recommend that you use the Auspost App, or follow the tracking of your parcel online using the tracking number we send you.
Your tracking will be sent via a text message link to your mobile or via our online store order confirmation email, depending on how you have ordered.
If you have any concerns about the progress once posted, please follow it up with Auspost straight away.
COLLECTION
We collect eggs twice a day and store them at room temperature.
Eggs are turned daily.
The collection window, which is the time between collection and sending, is only a few days.
The eggs we post are collected between Wednesday and Sunday.
PACKING
When packing, we always pack each egg with the upmost care, and we pack them as if we would want to have eggs packed if they were being sent to us.
We believe our packing methods provide the best possible chance of ensuring the eggs arrive safe and sound.
We use NEW genuine EGGSPRESS safe foam packages.
Eggs are individually and securely wrapped in the EGGSPRESS safe foam and additional bubble wrap is placed on the outside.
INCUBATION
Once you have received your eggs, carefully unwrap them. Take your time, as there’s a few layers and different wrappers. If you would like to rest them prior to incubating, let them sit in a carton to settle at room temperature for about a day.
Be certain your incubator is running as per the manufactures recommendations, prior to putting your eggs in.
It’s a good idea to lift the lid a few times when you are setting it up, so you know it returns to the correct temperature. If you don’t have your instructions, check online, as each incubator is slightly different and having it set correctly from the start will increase your chances of success.
All incubators will vary in results and in general, the less expensive ones give a poorer result than the higher price range ones.
OTHER INFO
If you receive an egg with a tiny crack, you can try to repair it with some candle wax. It doesn’t always work, but it’s worth a try.
The bloom is also very important to remain on the eggs, so we do not wash them.
You may find a little dirt here and there, but rest assured, the precious bloom is there.
LIMITATIONS
Our aim is to give you the best possible result.
We pride ourselves in quality eggs and do absolutely everything we can to help you get the best possible result.
Due to there being so many factors when eggs are posted which are totally out of our control, we are unable to offer any guarantee or refund.
You may receive a box of scramble (although this has never happened) or you may hatch each and every one (this has actually happened more than once).
Realistically, it will be somewhere in between.
Postage can damage the eggs, which causes them to not develop at all, sometimes without you even being able to see it from the outside.
Often there’s confusion when an egg shows no development, and the egg is thought to be infertile – that is why we check eggs from every pen regularly, via weekly hatching, to ensure optimum fertility.
WESTERN AUSTRALIA SHIPPING FROM VICTORIA - If you live in WA, you may incur a quarantine fee. Please be aware of this as a purchaser as we have no control over this fee. WA is the only Australian state with this fee.
By asking for your eggs to be posted, we trust you accept the conditions and limitations of our postage and sale terms.
We do not want to discourage you from continuing with your purchase of fertile eggs from us and having them posted, but we do want you to be aware of the potential risks.
We take extreme care of all our eggs, but can not guarantee the hatchability of the eggs due to all the factors that are out of our control.
We do not issue any refunds or replacements on any eggs.
Please do not request any refunds or replacements and please do not order eggs from us if you do not understand the processes in hatching eggs and the risks involved with postage.
We do not tolerate any rude comments or messages and we have done everything we can to make you fully aware of the process before you choose to purchase eggs.
