We post eggs Australia wide, including Tasmania.
Please read this section carefully, if you are wanting eggs posted.
If you live in a remote area, check with your postage outlet for an expected arrival time of your eggs, even though we only send eggs via express post, sometimes its not always overnight.
We post Monday and Wednesday each week.
When packing, we always pack each egg with the upmost care, and we pack them as if we would want to have eggs packed if they were being sent to us.
We believe our packing methods provide the best possible chance of ensuring the eggs arrive safe and sound.
We use genuine EGGSPRESS foam packages.
Our aim is to give you the best possible result.
Due to there being so many factors when eggs are posted which are totally out of our control, we are unable to offer any guarantee or refund.
You may receive a box of scramble (although this has never happened) or you may hatch each and every one (this has actually happened more than once).
Realistically, it will be somewhere in between.
Postage can damage the eggs, which causes them to not develop at all, sometimes without you even being able to see it from the outside. Often there’s confusion when an egg shows no development, and the egg is thought to be infertile – that is why we check eggs from every pen regularly, to ensure optimum fertility.
If you receive an egg with a tiny crack, you can try to repair it with some candle wax. It doesn’t always work, but it’s worth a try.
The bloom is also very important to remain on the eggs, so we do not wash them. You may find a little dirt here and there, but rest assured, the precious bloom is there.
Once you have received your eggs, carefully unwrap them. Take your time, as there’s a few layers and different wrappers. Let them sit in a carton to settle at room temperature for about a day. If any of the air calls have detached, this can sometimes help them settle and reattach.
Be certain your incubator is running as per the manufactures recommendations, prior to putting your eggs in. It’s a good idea to lift the lid a few times when you are setting it up, so you know it returns to the correct temperature. If you don’t have your instructions, check online, as each incubator is slightly different and having it set correctly from the start will increase your chances of success.
We do not want to discourage you from purchasing fertile eggs from us and having them posted, but we do want you to be aware of the potential risks. Hatching your own eggs is a wonderful and very rewarding and cost effective way of adding to your flock, and we get consistently great feedback telling me of great hatch results.
By asking for your eggs to be posted, we trust you accept the conditions of our postage terms. If you do not, there are other options, such as getting a friend to collect them who lives closer, or using an animal courier service.
We do not issue any refunds on any eggs (including pick ups).
We take extreme care of all our eggs, but can not guarantee the hatchability of the eggs due to factors that are out of our control.
